The deduction file is a monthly spreadsheet (available in .csv and .xlsx formats) that lists the specific amount to be subtracted from each enrolled employee's paycheck for their Wellhub subscription. It is your primary tool for ensuring employee payments are processed accurately through your internal system.
What’s inside the file?
- Employee Information: Details of who has subscribed to or renewed a Wellhub plan during the current payroll cycle.
- Amount to Deduct: The exact total amount owed by each employee for that period.
Note: If your company funds employee plans, the deduction file amounts adjust to account for the company's contribution. Employees subscribed to a fully funded plan with a $0 value will not appear on the deduction file.
How to use your deduction file
- Download the file: Access the latest deduction file from the “Billing” page in Wellhub for Companies on your chosen billing date. You will find it inside your non-taxable payroll invoice. We will also email it to you.
- Upload and Process: Upload the file to your payroll system.
- Record Keeping: Save a copy of the file for your company’s internal payroll records.
