Wellhub Challenges are a free and powerful tool to promote healthier habits, increase employee engagement, and boost awareness of the Wellhub benefit.
This guide explains how any user with Admin permission on Wellhub for Companies portal can create, manage, and promote a challenge.
How to set up a challenge
- Log in to Wellhub for Companies.
- Select the company you want to manage, if you have more than one.
- In the main menu, click on Challenges, and then Create a challenge.
- Customize your challenge details:
- Title & Description: Choose one of our preset titles or create your own.
- Participants: Decide if the challenge is for All employees at your company or for Invited employees only.
- Duration: Choose a preset duration or a custom one (up to 30 days).
- Goal Type: Select the challenge mechanic. You can set a point goal per participant to reach, a collective group effort goal, or a higher score competition with an open goal.
- Review all the information on the confirmation screen and click Publish challenge.
đź’ˇ If you chose Invited employees only, a screen will appear with a QR code and an invitation link. You must share one of these with your employees for them to be able to join.
How to manage and promote your company challenge
Once your challenge is created, you can track its progress in the Challenges section. You can:
- Monitor the leaderboard to see who's in the lead.
- Get detailed reports by clicking Get leaderboard by email to receive a CSV file with a full breakdown of points.
- Access promotional materials by clicking View materials to get a ready-to-use communication pack.
- Educate your employees: Share this Help Center page with your team to answer all their questions about how challenges work.
- Cancel a challenge at any time, whether it's upcoming or already in progress.
During the setup process, select the Invited employees only option. After you publish the challenge, you will get a shareable link and a QR code to send to the specific group you want to invite.
Currently, you must set up a separate challenge for each individual company entity. It is not yet possible to create one single challenge that includes all entities.
Yes, any Wellhub member can create their own separate challenges in the app and invite friends, colleagues or family members. It’s not possible for the company to track or manage these user-created challenges from Wellhub for Companies.
The points system (10,000 points per check-in, 1 point per step) and the automatic push notifications sent to participants are standard features and cannot be customized or disabled at this time.
